Writers Must Follow
Rules for Letters
Writers of letters to our editor must provide full names, telephone numbers and addresses.
Letters must be signed, including letters from a group. The maximum number of signatures per letter is two.
Letters should be short and to the point.
The deadline is 5 p.m. the Friday prior to publication except for holiday weekends when the deadline is moved to 5 p.m. Thursday.
The newspaper reserves the right to edit all letters for brevity and clarity. Do not submit a letter if you are not willing to have it edited.
The newspaper also guards against multiple duplication of opinions; in other words, if a series of letters expresses the same opinion or thought,
only a few would be published.
We also limit the number of letters from any individual.
