The Greater Romeo-Washington Chamber of Commerce will hold its first-ever "Night Under the Stars" event from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, at the Douglas House on N. Main Street.Under the Stars' Funds raised by the event will benefit the chamber's Romeo High School scholarship fund.Eight local businesses will be on hand to serve up hors d'oeuvres during the evening, and vendors will test the palates of guests with beer and wine tasting. All the World's a Stage will perform Broadway songs and other musicians such as a pianist will fill the night air with tunes. Local artists will not only display their works, but contribute their pieces to a silent auction. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple, and will be available until the day of the event.
