Turning PointMacomb County's Executive and the county's domestic violence shelter are teaming up for a common cause.
hosts Grant run
Turning Point, Macomb County's only domestic violence and sexual abuse shelter, is hosting the Tara Grant Memorial Walk/Run at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 in Mount Clemens.
Grant was murdered by her husband in 2007. The run is billed as a way for her family to share her legacy by promoting domestic violence awareness and prevention.
Joining participant this year is County Executive Mark Hackel, who said domestic violence was an issue both in his former career as sheriff and current role as executive.
Participants can register online at taragrantwalkrun.evenbrite.com. For more information, visit www.turningpointmacomb.org.
