MSP investigating threat at Bruce Township Hall
by CHRIS GRAYMichigan State Police (MSP) are investigating reports of a Bruce Township resident allegedly threatening to harm township employees.
Observer Staff Writer
Supervisor Richard Cory said on the morning of May 21, Bruce Township Hall employees encountered a resident who became upset and threatened to come back with a gun.
"(The resident) just said the wrong thing," he said.
Cory said the employee ended the conversation and reported the matter to the police. A trooper with the MSP was present at the Board of Trustees' May 21 meeting to ensure the safety of attendees.
"We just wanted people to be safe," Cory said.
Lt. Mike Shaw said the MSP are looking into the matter, but declined to comment on the open investigation.
