Candidates file
for Bruce offices

      A dozen candidates have thrown their hats into the ring to be elected to the Bruce Township Board of Trustees.
       As of May 11, 12 residents have registered to have their names on the Aug. 7 primary ballot.
       For supervisor: Jim Tignanelli, Republican; Carl Beauvais, Republican; Richard Cory, Republican.
       For clerk: Susan Brockmann, Republican; Dennis Jokinen, Republican; Trese Servitto-Smith, Republican; Reynard Bockart, Republican.
       For treasurer: Deborah Obrecht, Republican; Carol Marshall, Republican.
       For trustee: Paul Okoniewksi, Republican; Zachary Fowler, Democrat; Ted Kasper, Republican.
       The Aug. 7 primary will decide which Republican and Democratic candidate will appear on the November ballot.
       Registration ended at 4 p.m. on May 15. Candidates have until May 18 to withdraw their name.
