VFW holding
essay contests

      The VFW Post 2052 and its auxiliary are sponsoring two essay contests and a Teacher of the Year contest. The deadlines are Thursday, Nov. 1.
       Our Voice of Democracy contest is open to all ninth through 12th grade students in private, public or home schools. The theme is: "Is Our Constitution Still Relevant?"
       The Patriot's Pen essay contest is for grades sixth through eighth. The theme is: "What I Would Tell America's Founding Fathers."
       The Teacher of the Year contest is for all current K-12 classroom teachers who you feel care for America. Anyone is able to nominate a teacher.
       All winners will receive a monetary scholarship award and a chance to go to the district, state and national levels.
