Cody French and Bailey Pearce have been named co-valedictorians. Both have a 4.052 grade point average.Natalie Peterson is the salutatorian. She has a 4.050 grade point average.
The other top seven students are Jason Saliga, Dominica Puglise, Raymond Sucaet, Chandler Medaugh, Nicholas Anger, Ian Giles and Brittany Losey.
French is the son of Bill and Kristen French. He has been involved in varsity swim team (co-captain) and the National Honor Society. He plans to attend the University of Michigan to study biomedical engineering to pursue a career in making prosthetics and artificial limbs.
Pearce is the daughter of Jeffrey and Catherine Pearce. She has been involved in National Honor Society, cross country for four years (captain), track and field all four years, Good News Gang all four years and tutoring. She has also been involved in the chrohns and colitis walkathons for three years. She plans to attend the University of Michigan to pursue a biomedical engineering course of study.
Peterson is the daughter of Steve and Donna Peterson. She has been involved in indoor and outdoor track and field, varsity for all four years, captain and state qualifier. She is a member of the National Honor Society, HOSA, the Math/Science/Technology program for four years, a link crew leader and played varsity basketball, varsity cross country and volleyball. She plans to attend the University of Detroit Mercy to pursue a five-year physician's assistant program.
Saliga is the son of Anthony and Susan Saliga. His interests include basketball (9,10), track and field (4 years/captain), indoor track (3 years), cross country (four years/captain), National Honor Society and SkillsUSA. He is a MITES division grand award winner and placed 19th in the state in cross country. He plans to attend Michigan Technological University to study chemical engineering. His grade point average is 4.049.
Puglise is the daughter of Frank and Sang Hee Puglise. Her extra curricular activities include softball, newspaper and the National Honor Society. She also works at a local store. She wants to travel to Spain and Greece, but would like to eventually live in Chicago. She has played softball for 10 years and took journalism classes for four years. She said she loves her family. She plans to study journalism and prelaw at Oakland University. Her grade point average is 4.048.
Sucaet is the son of Gary and Carol Sucaet. He is a member of the National Honor Society and was a member of the theater tech crew and the golf team. He is involved in Olympic style archery and has won on the national level. He likes to play golf and the guitar. He is looking forward to flight school as part of his aerospace engineering education, but is uncertain of the college he will attend at this time. His grade point average is 4.048.
Medaugh is the son of Paul and Jenny Medaugh. He is a member of the National Honor Society and was on the varsity basketball team. He said he has a really big family and enjoys swimming. He plans to attend the University of Michigan to pursue an engineering degree. His grade point average is 4.002.
Anger is the son of James Marks and Greta Anger. He is a member of the National Honor Society, SkillsUSA and the Robotics team. He plans to attend Oakland University but is undecided on a career choice at this time. His grade point average is 3.995.
Giles is the son of Paul and Nicky Giles. He is a member of the National Honor Society and the varsity football team. He also works part-time at a veterinary hospital. He has been a member of the Math/Science/Technology program at RETC for four years. He enjoys sports, especially college football and basketball. He plans to attend the University of Michigan to pursue a career in chemical engineering. His grade point average is 3.994.
Losey is the daughter of Lorri Parker-Losey and Mark Losey. She is the editor-in-chief of the yearbook, a member of the varsity Dance Team and the National Honor Society. She also works part-time at a veterinary hospital and is a competitive dancer. She has raised two Leader Dogs for the Blind. She loves to dance and has won multiple grand championship titles for competitive dance. She likes to ride snowmobiles and dirt bikes. She plans to attend Michigan State University to pursue a course of study in pre-veterinary medicine. Her grade point average is 3.988.
