Romeo to start itsRomeo Community Schools will begin the school year on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

The offices are accepting new student registrations for the 2013-2014 school year at all elementary schools, middle schools and high school.
High school students were to receive their bus schedules at Dawg Days held Aug. 20-21. Middle and elementary students' bus schedules will be posted at the building entry doors and on the district website on Thursday, Aug. 22. Special needs students' bus schedules will be mailed to their homes.

Student class hours will be:
Amanda Moore Elementary, kindergarten-fifth grade, 8:14 a.m.-3:10 p.m. (586-752-0260); Hamilton-Parsons Elementary, kindergarten-fifth grade, 8:14 a.m.-3:10 p.m. (586-752-0280); Hevel Elementary, kindergarten-fifth grade, 8:59 a.m.-3:55 p.m. (586-752-5951); Indian Hills Elementary, kindergarten-fifth grade, 8:59 a.m.-3:55 p.m. (586-752-0290); Washington Elementary, kindergarten-fifth grade, 8:59 a.m.-3:55 p.m. (586-752-5563).
Powell Middle School, sixth-eighth grade, 8:19 a.m.-3:10 p.m. (586-752-0270); Romeo Middle School, sixth-eighth grade, 7:19 a.m.-2:10 p.m. (586-752-0240); Romeo Senior High School, ninth-12th grade, 7:24 a.m.-2:20 p.m. (586-752-0300); and Romeo Engineering & Technology Center, ninth-12th grade, 7:24 a.m.-2:20 p.m. (586-752-0245).
Kindergarten students will not have bus transportation on the first day of school and their parents will receive a letter from the building principal about the special schedule for Sept. 4-6. Elementary students will have a half-day (a.m. only) on Sept. 4. Middle and high school students will have a full day.
Lunch prices are: breakfast (all schools) $1.30; elementary lunch $2.50; middle school lunch $2.75; high school lunch $3; milk 50¢.
