FAMILY DANCE AT COMMUNITY CENTER
Romeo-Washington-Bruce Parks and Recreation will hold the Princess & Superheroes Family Dance from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 30, at the Community Center. Put on your favorite princess or super hero outfit and enjoy games, dancing, raffles and light refreshments. There will be special appearances by princesses, spider and bat heroes. SPECIAL NEEDS VALENTINE SOCIAL

       Oakland County Parks and Recreation will hold two Valentine Socials for individuals 18 years and older with developmental disabilities. The parties will include music and opportunities to socialize. The first will be 7-9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 6, at the Royal Oak Senior Center, 3500 Marais Avenue in Royal Oak. The second will be 7-9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 13, at Waterford Oaks Activity Center, 2800 Watkins Lake Road in Waterford.        Celebrate National Read-a-Thon Day at the Romeo District Library Graubner Branch from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 24. Join readers across America in a marathon reading session.        Samaritan House will hold the 17th Annual Golf Outing on Saturday, July 25. Auction items are needed.
