WASHINGTON ART GUILD TO MEET
The Washington Art Guild will meet Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Washington Township Hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments and socializing, with the business meeting at 7 p.m. A workshop to decorate wood wall art for either gifts or personal use will be held. Participants are asked to doante $8 to cover the cost of each piece. Bring your own acrylic paints, brushes, water containers and palettes.

CIVIL WAR ROUNDTABLE

       The monthly meeting of the Israel B. Richardson Civil War Roundtable will be held at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Rochester College, 800 W. Avon Road, Rochester Hills. DaVe Dinger, a member of Battery D, 1st Michigan Light Artillery, reenactment group will discuss the conditions and state of preparedness of the military at the start of the Civil War, both North and South. ROAD RALLY 2014 FUNDRAISER

       The Foundation for Educational Excellence will hold the 4th annual Road Rally fundraiser at 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, at Barnabo Field. The $30 cost includes dinner at the end.
