PEACH FEST STEAK-OUTThe Striber-McVicar VFW Post 2052 will hold a Saturday night Steak-Out Aug. 30 at the post. Steak, chicken breast, hamburger or hot dogs will be the food choices. Sides include corn on the cob, baked potato, salads, rolls, dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage. A cash bar and outdoor seating will be available. The post is located at 70455 McVicar Road in Bruce Township.

ROMEO AREA NEWCOMERS CLUB
Former members of the Romeo Area Newcomers Club are asked to join in a celebration for the club's 50th anniversary at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Aberdeen Village Condo Association Clubhouse, 56875 Scotland Blvd. in Shelby Township (south side of 26 Mile, east of Mound). ORCHARDS COMMUNITY CHURCH
Orchards Community Church will hold a family music and fun night at 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 22, at the Almont Park Pavilion. The evening of music, entertainment, food and fun will by hosted by the church youth group.

The Huron Pointe Sportsmen's Association will hold the 19th Annual Heritage Days on Sunday, Aug. 24. The 3-D range opens at 7:30 a.m. and events will be held from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Several children's events are scheduled throughout the day. A hunter's safety card is needed to participate in shooting sports. The free event will be held on 28 Mile Road, one mile east of Gratiot.
