The Powell Middle School football teams played a tough Seneca squad on Monday, Oct. 1.The seventh grade team lost 34-22. Malik Jones had three touchdowns for the Bulldogs. Austin Berger and Dominic Nikprelevic both added two-point conversion runs. Cole Harko had a great performance at defensive end and Tyler Hugo had a strong game as linebacker. The eighth grade team lost 42-0. Geno Fiorello caught a 15-yard pass from Nick Guitar, ripping the ball out of the defender's hands to make a first down. Trevor Mulrenin made a play that stopped what would have been another Seneca touchdown by making the running back fumble. Gavin Ganfield played great, being stopped only by the other team tearing his jersey off his back.
