many respectable results

by RICK DESOTELL

The freshman team went 19-1 overall and were MAC Red division champs. The junior varsity went 17-3 and the varsity went 13-9, 5-7 in MAC Red and lost in District semifinals to Oxford after upsetting Rochester Adams in the quarterfinals.
"Overall it was a very fun and exciting season,'' said Hernden. "We definitely improved as a team from the beginning of the season until the end. The girls were great to work with everyday especially the seniors who put in four years of hard work and dedication."
       Individual Honors:
Andrea Madden, senior: Best Defensive Player.
Kylie Resner, sophomore: Most Improved Player.
Lindsey Hernden, junior: Most Valuable Player.
       Briana Becker, Lindsey Hernden: Captains.

Lauren Bright: All League Honorable Mention, All County 3rd team.
       L. Hernden: All League, 2nd Team All County, 3rd Team All Metro East Detroit News.
"We had a very respectable season in one of the hardest divisions in the state,'' added Hernden. "We are looking forward to next year when we return a very talented and experienced group of girls."
