Sweets and love
on Feb. 15-16

      Romeo businesses are offering a romantic time for sweethearts and a day for those with a sweet tooth.
       The Romeo Merchants, Restaurants and Professionals Association (MRP) is hosting Romeo Romantic Days and Chocolate Festival in downtown Romeo on Feb. 15 and 16.
       On Feb. 15, guests can find special sales events alongside free horse and carriage rides, flowers for ladies and specials at local restaurants from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
       On Feb. 16, chocolate is the name of the game with businesses offering sweet treats, trolley rides and shopping from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
       Visitors can also take part in the "From Romeo with Love" military care package drive on Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. by grabbing a priority mail box from participating businesses, filling them with items and dropping them off at the Romeo Masonic Temple on N. Main Street.
       Items for the military drive can also be dropped off at the State Farm Insurance offices of Aaron Seitz in Macomb.
