seeks sponsors Tickets for the upcoming 175th anniversary ball may be gone, but sponsors are still sought for supporting the village's birthday. The 175th Anniversary celebration of the Village of Romeo will begin on March 9 with an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and ball at Gray's Opera House. Coordinators say tickets for the black-tie ball have sold out, but to keep the remaining festivities free to the public, are still seeking sponsorships. Individuals, families and businesses alike are invited to contribute to the event. Additional events to celebrate the occasion will be held on May 18 with historical exhibits, street vendors and a laser light show.
