GIRLS GOLF 2014. The Romeo High School girls' golf team wrapped up its season last month. Coach Chuck Moore said the team fared well in the MAC White division, but the major achievement was receiving the sportsmanship award for the second consecutive year. "We were voted on unanimously not only by coaches, but all the players have a say," he said. "That is a tribute to not me as a coach, but the players who support the golf game." In addition, co-captain Nikolette "Nikki" Palmer earned MVP on Oct. 2. From left, Kaleigh McKinney, Emily Salajka, Palmer, Miyah Foley, Moore, Amy Laurie, Mary Weber (standing on the cart), Alexia Lomakoski, Giuliana Virelli (sitting) and Lane LaBaere. Moore said Weber, McKinney, Palmer and LaBaere were academic scholars this year.
