BEHRING SIGNS FOR NORTHWOOD
Andrew Behring signed to play football at Northwood University where he will be a kicker for the Timberwolves team this fall. He plans to continue his education and study business. He was a decorated 10 time varsity letter athlete in Romeo. He had a four year career on the varsity soccer team, earning all district and all league in consecutive seasons under captain status. He ran long distance events for the track team and earned his varsity letter in both seasons he participated as a freshman and sophomore. He spent two years on the varsity basketball squad with his final season as the starting point guard. His football career began halfway through the team's jv season when the spot was in need of filling. After that year, he took over at the varsity level leading the team in scoring his junior season and a career of 15 for 18 field goals and 2 onside recoveries. On top of being a part of the group that earned Academic All-state, he earned MAC Red and All-County honors during his junior season. He is pictured with his brother Nicholas, at left, Andrew, his mother Tammie, and father Christopher, standing.
