DDA plans logo
contest for 175th

      Romeo will turn 175 years old in 2013 and the Romeo DDA will hold a logo design contest in honor of the event.
       The winning logo will be used on promotional materials and communications including posters, letterhead, T-shirts, etc. The winning graphic designer will also receive $175 and be featured in interviews on local TV and newspapers.
       To be eligible, the graphic design must be original vector art, created in flat color but printable and effective in black and white, 8.5x11 size, be scalable (works at 1 inch and 100 feet) and communicate Romeo's 175th anniversary, 1838-2013.
       The entry fee is $15. Forms are available at the DDA office, 134 W. St. Clair, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, the Romeo village office from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday, and the Chamber of Commerce, 228 N. Main Street, Suite D, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Entries must be received by 4 p.m., Friday, Aug. 17.
