to be performed St. Thomas Community Presbyterian Church will present an original musical production, "Let There Be Light, a Christmas Celebration," at the 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. worship services on Sunday, Dec. 16, for its annual Christmas Cantata. This year's Cantata was written and will be directed by the church's Director of Music Ministry, Matthew Croft. A musical composition major and student at Wayne State University, Croft has written all of the original music, arrangements and lyrics for the presentation, which also includes some well-known Christmas favorites. The original narration was written by Kevin Stephison. The Cantata tells the story of Christmas from the beginning of creation through the coming of Christ and celebrates God's light and love coming into the world. More than 30 vocalists and an orchestra of 15 will perform. The church is located at 55355 Mound Road, just north of 25 Mile Road, in Shelby Township.
