Night Under the
Stars on Aug. 2
Experience the sights, tastes, sounds and success of Romeo with the Greater Romeo-Washington Chamber of Commerce's "A Night Under the Stars."
The second-annual event will be held 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2 in the gardens behind the chamber offices on N. Main Street.
The evening will begin with music from All The World's A Stage, followed by Jim David performing classical music with his keyboard. Sean Earle, an instructor at The Dance Studio, will present original music.
Jesse Cory of Romeo will be the night's guest speaker. He is the son of Richard Cory, Bruce Township supervisor, and spent several years working at WBRW Channel 6. He is co-founder of the art gallery "Inner State" in downtown Detroit as well as 1xRUN, an online destination selling exclusive artwork.
The event will be held in conjunction with the Starkweather Arts Center hosting a live presentation from its current featured artist, Anita Bates.
Sixteen local restaurants, wineries and breweries will be featured at the chamber event. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple. Call (586) 752-4436 or visit http://www.rwchamber.com.
