AAUW book sale
Labor Day weekend

The Romeo Branch of the American Association of University Women, which encompasses all of Macomb County, is preparing for its annual Romeo AAUW Used Book Sale at the Romeo Community Center on Morton Street during the Peach Festival weekend.
The book sale has been part of the Labor Day weekend festivities for more than 25 years. The proceeds are used for college scholarships and go to deserving young women in the community. In 2013, the AAUW gave $3,000 to three Romeo High School seniors.
The book sale will have books of fiction, non-fiction, specialty books such as trade, cookbooks, art, etc; an interesting collection of children's books, collectible sets, CDs, DVDs, videos, and audio books at very reasonable prices.
The sale will be held 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 31; noon-5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 1 (half-off day); and noon-5 p.m., Monday, Sept. 2 (box day: $7 to fill a box of books, CDs, DVDs, etc.).
