MI-OH war at RDL
The rivalry between Michigan and Ohio started long before the Wolverines and Buckeyes clashed on the football field.
The Romeo Graubner Library is hosting "The Toledo War: The Start of the Great Michigan-Ohio Rivalry" program at 7 p.m. on Sept. 18.
Guests can enjoy refreshments as they learn about a little-known war that lasted from 1835 to 1836 from research librarian and author Alan Naldrett, such as what weapons were used and where battles took place.
No registration is required for the free event. Call (586) 752-0603 for more information.
