Go under the sea with ATWAS
in `The Little Mermaid Jr.'
In a magical kingdom fathoms below, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first she'll have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she's the girl with the enchanting voice.
Adapted from Disney's 2008 Broadway production, Disney's "The Little Mermaid Jr." features all the hit songs you have grown to know and love: "Part of Your World," "She's in Love," "Kiss the Girl," and the Oscar-winning "Under the Sea."
So join All The World's A Stage (ATWAS) "under the sea" as they bring magic, charm, and enchantment to the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts, Saturday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

All The World's a Stage production of Disney's "The Little Mermaid Jr." features 25 young actors from the Macomb and Oakland county area. Members of the ATWAS Theatre Performance Ensemble CAST, these young actors are responsible for presenting theater arts and musical theater entertainment throughout the S.E. Michigan region.
This production features Olivia Belfie of Romeo as Ariel, James Weil of Rochester Hills as Prince Erik, with the double casting of Ashleigh Dobbin of Sterling Heights and Hannah Enciso of Romeo as Flounder, Emily Ruhlman from Macomb County and Carly Wilson from Romeo as Scuttle, Harper Case of Mount Clemens and Emily Gilbert of Romeo as Ursula, and Erik Lafferty of Warren and Jon Sangster of Rochester Hills as Grimsby.
ATWAS is an award winning theater arts education organization established in 1986. Currently in its 28th season, the theater company provides theater education and performance experiences to young actors from 3rd through 12th grade, serving more than 120 students annually, providing training to thousands of young actors throughout its history, many of whom are currently working in the field professionally.
Their training program includes participation with the Stratford Festival, Stratford, Ontario, where their young actors receive workshop training and adjudicated performance opportunities in partnership with Stratford's Education Department and Acting Company.
In addition to its work with teaching the acting process to aspiring young actors, ATWAS has provided cutting edge theater arts programming with at risk and underserved youth populations, and currently partners with Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center, Macomb Intermediate School District, Macomb County Department of Mental Health, and a pilot venture in the developmental stages in partnership with Macomb Oakland Regional Center (MORC).
