RPD joins take back day Apr. 26

The Romeo Police Department is participating in a national effort to keep prescription drugs out of the wrong hands.
The department is joining others in the National Take Back Initiative Day put on by the Drug Enforcement Agency from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 26.
Citizens can drop off unwanted, expired medications at the department during the day. No needles or liquids will be accepted. To dispose of liquids and needles, contact the Macomb County Health Department for instructions.
The department collects an average of 25 pounds to 40 pounds of unused drugs each year through the initiative.
