Entries sought for Floral Parade
The Michigan Peach Festival is seeking entries for its biggest and most celebrated parade.
Interested parties are encouraged to be a part of the Floral Parade, held every Labor Day in downtown Romeo on the last day of the festival.
Trophies will be awarded to winners in the following categories: Commercial entry, non-commercial entry, senior and junior marching bands, vehicle entry, novelty entry and dance.
Entry into the parade is free for community groups, non-commercial and non-profit entries.
The parade is known for drawing in crowds as large as 40,000 people, and is aired multiple times on WBRW-TV.
The deadline to submit an entry form is Aug. 15. Entries submitted after the date may be in the back of the parade and not eligible for trophies.
