Legacy litigation
in negotiations

A settlement is currently in negotiations between Bruce Township and Legacy Holding regarding a rezoning of 145 acres.
At its Jan. 29 special meeting, the Board of Trustees agreed to authorize its attorney to prepare a consent judgment upon site approval for Legacy Holding's rezoning request. The judgment will be contingent upon the company submitting site plans to be approved at the township's Feb. 17 meeting.
Last year, the township denied rezoning 145 acres located at Bordman and Hipp roads from rural suburban (RS) to residential one family to build up to 93 home units, as it wouldn't preserve the property's features.
