Fire department
buys new truck

A new truck equipped to handle additional duties will replace one at the Bruce-Romeo Fire Department soon.
Fire Chief Floyd Shotwell was given unanimous approval by the Bruce Township Board of Trustees on May 16 to purchase a Ford F350 XL with a Boss V plow and Boss salt spreader with vibrator for a cost of $48,571. The purchase also includes a 60 gallon auxiliary transfer fuel tank.
The new truck, a cab and a half, will replace a Ford F150 purchased in 2000. The new truck will be purchased from Romeo Ford, the low bidder.
The cost of the truck does not include any lettering and will take between 10 and 12 weeks to be delivered.
