Sheriff's office
investigates bank robbery

       The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is seeking assistance in identifying a man who robbed a bank in Washington Township.
       According to the sheriff's office, at 11:40 a.m. on May 29 a man entered the Best Bank inside the Kroger grocery store on Van Dyke and 30 Mile Road.
       The man gave the teller a note requesting cash and implying he had a weapon. No weapon was seen, but an undisclosed amount of cash was given to him. He was seen fleeing in a teal-colored Pontiac Sunfire heading eastbound on 30 Mile Road.
       Video surveillance has been reviewed by deputies. The sheriff's office describes the suspect as a 180-pound white male standing at 5-foot 7-inches wearing tan pants and a baseball hat.
