Nursing home
to be reviewed

      Plans for a 100-plus bed nursing facility in Bruce Township will be reviewed later this month.
       Developers for a 57,000 square foot nursing home are seeking the re-zoning of a portion of 98 acres of land at Powell and McKay roads to build the single-story facility. The developer, Racz Construction, is requesting the amendment because they cannot build on a gas line on the property.
       The Bruce Township Planning Commission held an informal review of the development on June 27. Commissioners asked developers to come back for the July 25 meeting.
       The facility is expected to bring 200 jobs to the area. Preliminary site plans show a hospital on the site, but developers said this may not be developed.
