Construction
begins in July

Summertime in Michigan means construction and road repairs, and 2012 has a couple projects beginning this month for the Macomb County Department of Roads.
Paving Jewell Road's gravel section from 27 Mile Road to 28 Mile Road is expected to begin this month and end in October. The project is estimated to cost $1.5 million.
Pavement preservation will also take place this month beginning July 5. The project will pave Romeo Plank from 28 Mile Road to 29 Mile Road, causing a single lane closure. The paving is expected to be completed July 6.
