PUD for Medilodge by CHRIS GRAY
A 93-bed Medilodge nursing facility is closer to becoming a reality in Romeo.Observer Staff Writer On Sept. 17, the Village of Romeo Board of Trustees approved of a Planned Unit Development (PUD) agreement subject to a number of recommended changes. Village Attorney Mark Clark suggested a number of changes to the PUD agreement, the biggest of which addresses the village consenting to maintaining the development's sewer lines. Village trustees decided to require the developers to own and maintain the new sewer lines. Other recommended changes included the developer paying for the construction of access roads and sidewalks. The project is a senior living complex measuring in with a single-story 66,500 square-foot building. The facility would provide occupational and physical therapy for its residents. |
