Sacco appointed
for Miller's term

      A member on Washington Township's Planning Commission will have to give up his seat before joining the township's Board of Trustees.
       Harold Miller, secretary for the Planning Commission, will step down when he assumes his new role with the Board of Trustees.
       The Board of Trustees voted Oct. 17 to approve long-time Washington resident Bob Sacco to take over his remaining term, which expires Jan, 31, 2014.
       Supervisor Dan O'Leary said Sacco has experience as a small business owner, an attorney and is experienced with state government.
       "There's no doubt in my mind that you're the best candidate," Trustee Art Grimes said during the meeting.
       His term will be effective on Nov. 9.
