WT could renew
MiCM contract

      Washington Township agreed to negotiate extending the contract with Michigan Community Media's management of WBRW.
       Clerk Kathy Bosheers said she and Supervisor Dan O'Leary have met with MiCM several times and have decided to negotiate and renew their contract instead of going to bid for other companies.
       Bosheers said the new contract will be multi-year and include a clause for the township to exit the contract if they believe the needs of WBRW aren't being met.
       For the negotiations, Trustee Lisa Rapp suggested asking MiCM for a cost savings since the township isn't going to bid and is instead extending the contract.
       The board voted unanimously to enter in negotiations with MiCM.
