Tower ordinance toBruce Township's tower height ordinance will remain in its current form.
stay at 175 feet
The Bruce Township Planning Commission discussed whether its height ordinance should be amended at its Aug. 28 meeting. The discussion came after the Board of Trustees' approval of a 175-foot Internet tower east of Hipp Road and south of 36 Mile Road.
The applicant, Solvaris, Inc., requested a 200-foot tower but was denied by the Zoning Board of Appeals. Planning commissioners noted the township's height limit of 175 feet is larger than most neighboring communities, and decided not to investigate amending the ordinance.
