Village looks toThe Village of Romeo is looking to extend its boundaries as a way of gaining more sewer customers.
Armada Township is seeking an intergovernmental agreement with the Village of Romeo for the village to provide sewer services to the township's 297-acre industrial district.
Village Clerk Marian McLaughlin said the township is looking for an intergovernmental agreement, but the village would prefer to adjust its boundaries to provide the service east of Powell Road. She said the property owners must petition the county Board of Commissioners to adjust boundaries.
Should an agreement be reached, a potential 50 industrial taps and 30 residential taps could connect to the system. McLaughlin said the village has the capacity to handle the new taps.
