Bomb threat
closes MC court

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office found no traces of a bomb in the circuit court following phone threats.
At 9:19 a.m. on March 17, the sheriff's office was notified of a series of threatening calls placed to the Circuit Court Building in Mount Clemens. The caller claimed a bomb was in the building.
The building was evacuated and closed. Bomb-sniffing dogs were brought in to search each floor of the building and surrounding area, and upon finishing at 11:53 a.m. the building was re-opened at 2:15 p.m. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office and Michigan State Police assisted with the search.
The sheriff's office is investigating the source of the calls.
