Sheriff resumes search
for missing swimmer

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing Pontiac man at Stony Creek Metropark.
Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said at 8 a.m. on June 2, the sheriff's Dive Team will resume its search for Malcolm Robert Fairley, 21, of Pontiac, who went missing Sunday evening while swimming at Stony Creek Metropark near Baypoint Beach.
According to eyewitness reports, at around 6:05 p.m. on June 1, Fairley and other unidentified persons rented a paddle boat and was out on the lake when one of the persons in the boat jumped into the lake. The man resurfaced, then went under a second time and did not come up.
The sheriff's office was called to the park to assist the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority Police Department when the man could not be immediately located.
