Divers locate missing manThe body of a missing Pontiac man has been positively identified by the Macomb County Medical Examiner's Office.
On June 5, the medical examiner's office confirmed a body recovered from Stony Creek Lake in Stony Creek Metropark, located in Washington Township, was Malcolm Robert Fairley, 21, of Pontiac.
The Macomb County Sheriff's Dive Team found Fairley's body around 8:15 p.m. on June 4.
Eyewitness reports stated Fairley and other persons went onto the lake around 6:05 p.m. on June 1 in paddle boats. Fairley jumped into the lake and resurfaced, but when he went under a second time he didn't return.
The sheriff's office responded to assist the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority Police Department when Fairley couldn't be located.
