County's flood hotline closed

A volunteer-ran flood hotline run by Macomb County has shut down.

The county's flood hotline closed down at 4 p.m. on Aug. 27. Flood information and resources will continue to be posted on the county's website at www.macombgov.org.
Residents may also call 211, a Michigan information hotline provided through a partnership with the United Way, for any flood assistance needed.
The hotline was set up in response to the flooding that occurred following heavy rainfall on Aug. 11. Reports were collected in an attempt to gain federal and state funding to repair damage caused by the flooding.
