GARDEN PLANS REVEALED

Jennifer Millsap, April's mother, and Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel revealed the photo of the April Millsap Memorial Garden, which will be located off Fulton Road and along the Macomb Orchard Trail in Armada. The garden is expected to be completed by the end of the summer. A large bell, shown above, which was purchased by a family friend, will be included in the garden for passersby to ring in remembrance of April. (Read Story)

Fundraiser for Coach Dubiel
Mark Dubiel, the tennis coach at Romeo High School, suffered a stroke on Saturday, May 9.
A potluck get-together and fundraiser will be held at the Romeo tennis courts from noon-3 p.m., Saturday, June 13. The courts will be available to play tennis.
Anyone wanting to bring a dish to pass and/or drinks is encouraged to do so. A few coolers with ice will be available. Power outlets are available for warming food, etc.

Memorial Day 2015 closings
Macomb County government business offices and the courts will be closed Monday, May 25, for Memorial Day.
The Village of Romeo, and the townships of Bruce, Washington and Ray will also be closed on Monday, as well as the Secretary of State offices.
The Romeo-Washington-Bruce Parks and Recreation Department will suspend the regularly scheduled programs on Monday to observe Memorial Day.
Both branches of the Romeo District Library will be closed Monday, May 25.
Samaritan House will be closed Friday, May 22, and Monday, May 25. They will reopen on Wednesday, May 27.
The Romeo Observer will also be closed on Monday. Deadlines will be moved to noon, Thursday, May 21 for editorial, display and classified display ... (more)
