150 YEARS OF SERVICE

Above, Simpson Park Camp employees, members of the Board of Trustees and numerous volunteers have been busy preparing for the camp's 150th Anniversary celebration, which will be held during their annual Camp Meeting, July 24 - Aug. 2. Pictured from left is Pastor John Grenfell, Camp Director; Gretchen Deming, Office Manager; and Tim Throne, Chairman of the Board. A complete worship schedule and list of other activities and events is available on the camp's website, www.simpsonparkcamp.org. Below, a step into Simpson Park Camp is like a walk back in time. It is comprised of 77 historic cottages and buildings, some of which date back to the origin of the camp 150 years ago. The large 105-year-old W.G. Nixon Memorial Tabernacle sits centrally in the camp and can seat more than 800 congregants. The camp's 55 acres also includes soccer and sports fields, a natural pond, playgrounds and wooded areas.
